Our Services
Handcrafted Windows & Doors for London Homes

Sash Windows
Sash windows vary enormously and there are lots of factors to consider when looking to repair, renovate or replace your sash windows, such as:
- Current condition of the timber
- Function of the window (whether it opens or not)
- Opening mechanism type (weights and cords, spiral balance or even fixed)
- Design and style
- Planning constraints
- Your budgets and priorities
We offer draught proofing, sash replacement and complete replacement options. Our experienced surveyors attend your property to discuss your requirements and recommend the right approach.

Casement Windows
Casement windows with top or side hung sashes, opening in or out are hung on butt or friction hinges. Your casement windows may be a small opener in the WC, or a large, grand square bay window at the front of your property, with original Victorian leaded glass.
Whatever the style, size or scope we will be able to manufacture exactly what you are looking for.
Our replacement casement windows incorporate modern Deventer weatherseals and Kenrick multipoint locking mechanisms, whilst also featuring beautiful ovolo mouldings to the frames and sashes.

Doors
Whether it is a front door, a back door or French doors – you want the same thing. You want them to be safe, secure and hardwearing. Doors get a lot of traffic, being opened and closed throughout the day. You want to ensure that your door will keep functioning as you expect it to, time and again.
Our doors are all fitted with the most up to date Winkhaus AV4 multipoint locking systems as standard, which lock the door into the frame in at least three different locations, and are fitted with the highest-quality Hardwick euro cylinders, all meaning that you can sleep soundly knowing that you have the best locks available on your doors.
We combine these functional imperatives with design options from custom paint finishes, to stained or etched glass and bolection mouldings to make your door beautiful, as well as secure.
Designed, made and installed in-house
Our surveyors work with you to ensure you are getting the exact service you need. Your windows and doors are then manufactured at our workshops by skilled machinists, bench joiners and glaziers, with James our Order Processor keeping you updated every step of the way.
We have an experienced team of installation staff who understand the challenges of carrying out window and door installations in Victorian and Georgian properties in London.
From first call to fitted windows: how we work
Replacing your sash windows is something you’ll only want to do once, so we keep every stage clear and keep you informed from your first call right through to the day your windows are fitted — and beyond.
- Get in touch — You contact us with what you’re looking for, and we arrange for one of our surveyors to visit your home at a time that suits you.
- Home survey — Your surveyor comes to your property, talks through your requirements in person, and takes the measurements and photographs needed to price the work accurately.
- Your quote — Within one to two working days you’ll receive your quote by email. If there’s more than one sensible option — different glazing, finishes or approaches — we’ll quote each one so you can compare and choose.
- Confirming your order — When you’re happy to proceed, you pay your deposit and we confirm every detail of your specification, from ironmongery finish to paint colour. We set it all out in a written specification document for you to check and e-sign, so there’s no ambiguity about exactly what we’re making for you.
- Final survey — Our joinery surveyor, Adith, visits to capture the precise measurements, detailed photographs and manufacturing notes our workshop and installation team rely on. This is the level of detail that lets a handmade window fit your opening perfectly.
- Manufacture — Your order passes to James, who looks after it from here. He’ll give you an estimated completion date and keep both you and the workshop updated throughout. Around two weeks before your windows are ready, he’ll be in touch to arrange your installation dates.
- Installation — One of our own teams of employed installers fits your windows — not subcontractors — working carefully around your home and finishing to a high standard.
- Guarantee and aftercare — Once your installation is complete, we provide your guarantee and register your windows with InstallSure for an insurance-backed guarantee and, where required, with FENSA. Both send your documentation directly to you for your records.
